Paper Prototype Critiques 3:
Stick Ninja
- Fighting action game, player can choose different characters and weapons to attack different type f enemies
- Prototype used card and dice, but I think it would be hard to convert this to the actual game in this type of game mechanic
- Simple idea, not much factors could have make a different, player will just follow the story.
Zodiac War
- old school fighting game concept like street fighter
- sound interesting, but not too original at all (but who cares)
- Prototype didn’t really show the real mechanic of this game.
- Aesthetics is good for competition between players.
Crack Quest
- Metal Slug style game, shown the digital prototype as well.
- The graphic looks it could use a little more work. But the game is still in the process of developing and I expect to see something very impressive in the final game.
- its a collection of mini games
- mechanic were well showed in the prototype

3rd Cloud
- Classic RPG game, with exploration and fighting
- Like other RPG game, player will need to level up, get weapons, and upgrade themselves.
- Prototype has portrayed the game mechanic and game flow through numbers and statistic.
- But lack of originality, kind of too many this kind of game exist in the market, and it will take a lot of time to increase the quality of the graphics.
Food Fight
- Gunbound in different graphic like
- Prototype is kind of difficult to make for this of game, since it would feel so much different from aiming by hand then aiming in the real game.
- This game is kind of point less to make a paper prototype.
- The actual game would depends on their art work, and the multiplayer part.
Drive-thru Tycoon
- Player manager a restaurant and earn profit.
- Prototype is clear in its goal and activities.
- A type of game requires good reaction to the player.
- Not bad as a digital prototype show in class.
- Can be improve in the artwork.
Circular Strife
- 3D action game, looking forward to the actual game.
- Prototype’s rule and physical setting was created.
- This type of game would be very dependent on the graphics.

- Educational purpose through game.
- There might be too much random factors which confuse the players
- Prototype is balance, clear rules and results.
- Art work has potential to improve to higher quality standard.
- Since this is board game style, I’m looking forward to this game turn digital.

- Tadpole development story through search and rescue.
- Interesting story line, 3D art work are required to be successful
- Prototype has clear rules and results, and easy to understand.
- Prototype has clearly illustrated actual game since they shares the same game concepts and mechanics.
Mizu
- Exploring in different environment through different stages as a water element.
- Nice artwork, even though is a bit like Pokemon, but remarkable
- Prototype is a board game, used game board, dice, player and evil chaos.
- The physical prototype has given me a clear idea of the game.
- Prototype focuses too much in the art work; I think it can be expand a bit in the game mechanic area.

Welcome to Ivan's IAT410 blog.
I have been working in the group “Dynasty” for couple of weeks already, our game sets in ancient China, and we hope that our gamer will learn something about Chinese history after they played. In the team, my role is to create an action battle system (known as ABS) in the gaming engine – RPG maker.
By the end of this week, I m looking forward to myself to finish the ABS. Therefore, I can combine it with the map (done by Calvin), so we can present our first digital prototype on time.
